Soulful Rhythms is an organization of professional musicians dedicated to performing all styles of Jazz music at your special occasion.. Jazz music runs the spectrum of styles as does the various groups from Soulful Rhythms. From traditional Jazz standards to Smooth Jazz and from Latin Jazz to Dixieland. Soulful Rhythms plays the popular jazz music of today and the traditional jazz of yesterday.

Tim Wilsey (Drums & Percussion) Tim started playing the drums as a young child as a result of having a father who also happens to be a Jazz Drummer. Studied Jazz drumming in particular, brush playing, at The Berkshire Music School in Western Massachusetts where he is originally from. Tim has played many years playing Jazz in various small groups throughout The East Coast and in Chicago since moving out to the area in 1995.

Renzo Borgatti (piano) Born in Venice Italy. Started playing the clarinet at the age of eight and switched to piano three years later. Self taught in the instrument and theory with a deep growing passion for Jazz music. Renzo has performed both solo and in various bands all throughout North Italy. He moved to The US two years ago and has been in various small Jazz groups.
Sandi (Vocals & Flute). Sandi performs professionally with various jazz groups, wedding bands as well as solo work throughout the Chicagoland area. She is the principle flute player in the College of DuPage Concert Band. Sandy is also the vocalist for the College of DuPage Community Jazz Band.
Jeff Hansel (Standup & Electric Bass) Has a Bachelors degree in Music Jazz Bass Studies. Jeff played in off-Broadway shows in New York along with performing in various Blues, Rock, Pop, Country, Jazz and Big Band groups throughout the Chicagoland area.
* Jeff was also the bass player in the wedding band of the movie,
“My Best Friends Wedding” starring Julia Roberts. He is Julia’s favorite bass player.
John Boda (Guitar & Vocals) John is a seasoned professional guitarist/vocalist for over 30 years. He has performed with major jazz and blues players along with recording over two dozen cd`s. John’s repertoire of songs is over 1000 and covers nearly all styles of music. He is also a long time guitar instructor teaching at several different local institutions.
Ron Meyers (Piano) Ron began his music studies at the age of five. Along with the piano, he also plays the Organ, Accordion, Guitar and Bass, He has over 30 years of recording and nightclub experience. Ron has taught the piano for over 40 years.
Eli Bennett (Electric Fretless Bass) Eli has been playing bass for over 30 years. Active in music since childhood, Eli studied piano and guitar as a child, sang in choirs and played tuba in high school. At the University of Illinois, Eli played string bass in the big band jazz program, immersing himself into the great swing and bebop traditions pioneered by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Dizzie Gillespie, Charlie Parker, and Ray Brown to name a few. Since then, Eli has performed on bass in church groups and local wedding, jazz and rock bands. He even plays sousaphone in the Dixieland band.
